Bedtime Gratitude...Part 24
Aw, grats! Welcome home Eddie.
My little dog is a gift from God. He's not the dog I wanted but he's the dog I need. He acts out when I'm anxious. Wanting him to be better led me to dealing with my anxiety and to sobriety. From Dog to God.
Grateful for feeling the sad cloud lift after a 3mile run.

Grateful to crawl into a cool, comfy bed with the air conditioner turned on to the "snow" setting.
I know it's probably like wishing my life away, but I am very grateful there is only one more day until the weekend.
Have a good night, all....

Thanks, Mida, newby, wellwisher (again), and frances!!
I am grateful that I got to spend time with another long-time friend today. She treated me to lunch at our nearby Indian place and we went for a little walk and played with one of her cats. I fizzled kind of early, but it was still nice to hang out for a while.
I'm also grateful that I'm trying to be responsible and take care of a lot of business that I had neglected before going away. I'll probably need help, but at least I'm sort of taking inventory of what all I need to deal with. Before, I just let it overwhelm me. Glad I'm not letting myself be paralyzed again. At least not yet... ; )
Sleep tight, all!
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful for Summer Vacation (I am a teacher)!
Grateful for a good check-up for my daughter today.
Grateful for my HP giving me all the chances I need to really forgive and move on, each time I try I am getting a little closer to accomplishing it, and I am doing it for me.
Grateful for my Alanon meeting last night, one of the first people to speak to me said something that really hit home for me...just what I needed. Love it when HP sends those little angels my way

Grateful that I got some correspondence to friends and family written and mailed out.
Grateful that the results of another set of medical tests were negative.
Grateful that Sleepytime tea is my nightcap these days.

Grateful for a produuctive day. Gratefull I didn't loose my temper at Kinkos...its one thing to have a temper another to act on it! Grateful for the views from the 75th floor...looking downtown at the sailboats in the harbor....the statue of liberty and the buildings rising from the ashes.
Grateful for all the love in my life.

Grateful that I have the joy and privilege of loving and caring for these dogs. Grateful to need little and want less. Grateful to stop by here and read the grats. Makes me feel good.
These are great to read! Just found this thread.
If I might add a few of my own...
grateful to:
- make it through 5 days sober.
- see a movie that wasn't meant for kids in a theatre for the first time in 7 years.
- have such a loving and understanding wife.
- have attended my very first AA meeting today.
- have had a nice nap when I would normally have been having my first drink.
- be planning an early morning run before I go into work tomorrow.
That's about it...
Thanks,

Thanks,
grateful for Habits
healthy habits like not letting complancey sneak in.
and grateful for the paradoxes
* from weakness (adversity) comes strength
* we forgive to be forgiven
* we give it away to keep it
* we suffer to get well
* we surrender to win
* we die to live
* from darkness comes light
* from dependence we found independence.

Grateful for a friend who gave me an emoticon today, thank you!
Grateful for a breakthrough, another onion layer, another breakthrough
Grateful for a *tough* family conversation
Grateful for the storms ending to go on a superfun group dog walk where my little dog got to experience walking with nice dogs and only misbehaved a little bit. So proud of him, full stop.
Grateful for asking the question and finding the answers in the paradoxs
