Grateful to have enjoyed the day by the pool with my sis & nephew! Lots of cannonballs and laughs.
Grateful for the love of my husband & family. Grateful we have never known what it's like to be homeless or hungry. Grateful that Newby and jennybeth don't have to deal with that anymore! Help us to never take these things for granted.
Grateful for my family's health. Grateful for my own health as well.

Grateful for a wonderful visit with family in South Carolina. Grateful that the idea of drinking never entered my mind. Grateful to be back home, though, and grateful to see my dogs after being gone a week.

Good to log onto SR and see that everyone is doing well

Grateful for the courage to put one foot in front of the other today and getting through a stressful event stronger for having taken the chance.

I heard this quote at one of the graduations we attended last week and it's been an inspiration, "A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Nitey nite!

I like that quote, Mida...five minutes can make a big difference!

Hi everyone...

Grateful to have gotten through the day. It was a day of constantly reeling myself in and putting it into perspective, which I am grateful I have the tools for, but it was a struggle.

Grateful for the seven hour nap but now it's the middle of the night.

Grateful I can do evening and morning grats at the same time...now, that's efficiency!

Have a good one, all......

Grateful that I can take life in even smaller increments than one day. Sometimes the most I can manage is one step, second, or sliver at a time.

Grateful to wake up with a great, "feeling good" mood. My chores and "to do" list seems like a breeze....very grateful!

Grateful, as I am every night, for a comfortable bed and my canine companions.

Grateful too that beagirl hasn't peed on the floor at all today.... probably cause I took her outside every half hour.

Hi Everyone!

Grateful to celebrate twenty years together with the love of my life today. This weekend's for celebrating.

Grateful for the great tunes playing in the background as I work on my project.

Grateful that the lopidor labrador seems to be hunting in his sleep right now - he's out like a light but his feet are going a mile a minute - makes me chuckle.
Also gives out little woofs. He's the other love in my life.

Have a good night, all.....

Grateful to be sober. I have been around alcohol more than I would like the past few days. I never crave it, and it almost always seems disgusting to me now, but today I had a few seconds where It seemed appealing and that was an uncomfortable experience (And I was offered to try a sip, but easily said no, and am frankly quite irritated this person said it-- I emphatically reminded her that I do not drink!!!!). Glad I was able to play the tape forward like dee sez, and grateful I learned that here. Within seconds I was remembering dry heaving etc and felt a healthy kick of aversion. Grateful I will be returning home tomorrow. Really grateful I can come here and post about this and be honest.

So grateful for all I have gained inside and out in sobriety. Grateful to be reminded what a fragile gift it is.
