I am grateful for...
My wife, who has hung in with me through my 10+ years of opiate addiction and who gave me "one last chance" to be a good father, husband and human being, who has put up with a ton of lies and deception from me and my addiction over the years.
For life and all it's splendor and beauty and for my daugther Olivia who is my world, I love you more than words can say!!!
For all the people in recovery who have the strength in themselves to welcome me with open arms and encourage me to stay on my feet and change my way of thinking, who don't know me from a "hole in the wall" but continue to support me in ways I never imagined possible..Thank You!
For my brother who has 5 years sobriety....I know if he can do it, than so can I...Thanks for being there for me during my last withdrawal and and keeping me on track and giving me the words of wisdom I've been shutting out for so long but finally let in.
For all my family and loved ones, I love you all

Welcome Kev70 to the gratitude threads... I hope you enjoy hanging out here as much as I do. Sounds like you are on the right track... remember it is so worth it. Work on your recovery each and everyday-- and don't get complacent.
Wishing you the very best!

Today I am grateful for:
Starting again.
Reaching out for support
Giving myself permission to not beat myself
My husband
My dogs
My family, friends and therapist
The ability to change
Songs of encouragement
Moving forward in spite of fear
