very grateful for all 3 of the cats (Slim, Fandy and Pookie) and Sammy the wonder-Pom. They are all well fed and happy, quiet thus evening...we have all had a big weekend, I've been working around them but obviously disturbed their "routine"

Sammy got his long hair done in a "puppy-cut" at the groomers and looks like a stuffed toy...but it will be easy for me to wash him weekly with minimal shedding for the next couple of months spring-summer.

grateful for a chuckle when he "scared" the giant 8 month old St. Bernard/Newfie/Linderberger who stands higher than my waist and weighed 117#...Sammy barked at him from the shopping cart in the checkout line at the Petsmart.
(Ste, that is a chain store for everything for the pets with grooming facilities...everyone brings their dogs shopping)

Pets are so intuitive, my little furry friend follows me around and won't let me be alone when I am not feeling perfect... she even watches me under the bathroom door. She doesn't do this to anyone else in our house. Love her for this -- drives me crazy sometimes, but I know she loves me so much.

Wink

I know my Princess saved my life. I hit a batch in sobriety no less, when I was seriously contemplating taking my own life. To be honest one of my biggest reason's why I didn't was I didn't want something to happen to her if noone found me for a week or so. I live alone and I am not in touch with anyone day to day so even my family might not even suspect till after 10 days or so? If I didn't have Princess I would be all alone other than my HP of course.

I was just thinking though I have been on here now almost 4 months I think maybe less and I don't miss more than 2 days so maybe someone on here might wonder but then again noone knows really anything about me lol.

I'm a major wolf lover...would love a wolfdog sanctuary for the ones that are not adoptable...they are amazing.

Tonight I am so grateful for the loyal loving devotion of my dogs. They give me peace and someone to talk to. They take what I give them and are thankful for it. They love me with every fiber of their being and I don't know what I'd do without them.

Wolves are awesome but they are still hunters by nature not domesticated.

my dog and i appreciate the warmer weather....it is wonderful to go out for a walk without bundling up like nanook of the north....we both feel "lighter".

and the cats love fresh air from an open window and louder "bird action".....i had 2 doves sitting on my rock wall for over a 1/2 hour....perhaps it is some kind of sign?

My lovely dogs recently treed a kangaroo rat. Ewww! It scurried across the yard as soon as I brought the killer dogs in the house. It was very rodent like. Our dogs are such protectors.

Hope I didn't upset you guys. They treed the rat. They didn't kill it. I guess it sounded bad. They chase anything smaller then them when it crosses our property. Mags used to chase squirrels when we lived in Illinois, but we don't have those down here in NM. Sorry! I'll let the posting go to others on here. Glad you've all kept it going.

(((Horselover))) my cats have gotten lazy, and no longer chase things, but I have a friend who has stray's that live in her garage (she's allergic to them) and is always finding something they've killed. It's the nature of animals, it's their instinct, and I don't think you need to apologize for what your dogs did.

Elvis has been enjoying the warm weather. When I was leaving for school, he was sprawled out on the driveway, getting a "suntan". He's finally no longer GREEN from the pollen, and is now sacked out under his lamp. Mots and Patches go out, too, but they've been staying in the a/c more.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

I love my dog, I love him! He's funny and furry and good company. He gets upset when I'm upset. When I'm happy, he's happy. He helps me be happy.

LOL! I have just hugged my pets. Dogs love hugs, but cat . . . not so much and she wants your address now. I think she would like to file a complaint with you or something.

Jack likes it when I kiss him on his little face. At least, he allows it.
