Whew! Struggling today friends, I only got about three hours of sleep so I'm tired and grumpy but I'm grateful for three hours rather than zero hours.

I'm grateful that I still made it into the gym and pushed myself pretty hard.

I'm grateful that I forced myself to be grateful - that is all Amen.

G'morning all.

Grateful for something I realised this morning...when I was drinking I slept really poorly and back/sciatic pain woke me up frequently (I have two herniated disks.) I just realised...since I quit, I am sleeping through the night and my back isn't bothering me nearly as much.

Also grateful that I read in the paper yesterday about a Planet Fitness gym that just opened not too far from my house; looks like a very good deal and I'm going to check it out.

Happy sober Thursday to all!

Grateful for the year of the Golden Rabbit.

Kung hei Fat Choi! (That's Cantonese for happy new year as today is Chinese new year)

Grateful for the year of the Golden Rabbit.
I read somewhere that the rabbit is one of the luckiest signs in the Chinese understanding... maybe that was written by a rabbit-lover. I was born the year of the rabbit. So maybe this will be a really good year. This is my second year of sobriety, tho last year was a bit rocky at first, being my first year sober...I'm a lot better at it now.

This morning I'm grateful for a warm house, electricity, and my computer to keep me connected to the rest of the world. Now if this damn ice would just melt I'd be really really grateful...

thanks for the Chinese new year information...I sure hope my luck changes too!

but for today, I am grateful for sobriety and not running to the bathroom every 5 mins. my face looks like a sheet of xerox paper i'm so pale today...(but my make-up looks good, so i'm grateful for that part)

and I guess i should be grateful for feeling "thinner" and my sweater because it is windy and cold!!!

Grateful for the warmish yet windy weather, a warm shower and accepting recovery community to be a part of.

If you're happy and you know it clap your hands! Whoa...whoa, whoa, whoa! Take it easy guys, it sounds like a standing ovation in here!

I'm grateful for 8 solid hours of sleep last night and I'm grateful to see the world with a fresh set of rested eyes.

I'm grateful for the GP's comments that bring a smile to my face.

I'm grateful that my prayers to not go bald by 30 have been more than answered (when I was a teenager I prayed everyday for two weeks that I wouldn't be a father due to a "mishap" and for good measure I threw in not going bald like every other male on both sides of my family...I'm a miracle of science I tell ya! )

I'm grateful that it's Friday.

G'morning all!

Today's Forecast:
Heavy showers of awesome, fantastic, terrific, and hunky dory. No sucking is predicted today.

AMEN on the coming of spring!!!! i can't be more grateful than if this ice block would disappear instantly....but more is coming unfortunatley.

but for today, i am grateful for good weather, being sober (flip the order of grats pls). my stomach feeling less flippy and finally getting 6 hours of solid sleep....i put all of my issues in a box last night, taped it shut and put it in a closet...it worked, i turned my head off and got to some restful sleep.

this am i am working towards a good day, breakfast, vitamins coffee and no suckiness indeed!....i wish everyone else a great day too.

Grateful that my neighborhood was not one of the ones that lost power during our ice storm. The whole north end of town was without electricity for over a day. So grateful I wasn't one of them.

Grateful that my sober life allows me to choose to be happy. I'm happy inside so have sandbags of happiness as a defense against any tidal waves of misery. Grateful that my 'poor me' attitude is becoming a thing of the past. Grateful that my happy healthy dogs have a happy sober mommy.
