great analogy RZ!!! i like it.
grateful for good old Rule#62...morning and night.
grateful to be up and at em with my coffee and laptop.
grateful to be very busy today and making $$$ both at home selling furniture and at work...necessary to grade up my students..it's a never ending cycle of boring work...but boring is good...
grateful there is no long HIGH DRAMA from others...he can keep his "mama-drama", IRS-drama, family drama and deal with it all by himself...it no longer affects my sober peace of mind.
grateful to realize the true meaning of Christmas...with just a little shopping and lots of good food to share with my family...meaning...I am grateful I did not forget how to COOK...( can I brag just a little about my fabulous bacon wrapped giant scallops and shrimp with a spicy dipping sauce...and my braised mushrooms)?
grateful that my brother continues to have clean bone scans and remission.

That's goooood Rusty, like it
Grateful to read Fands daily recovery evolution... Really inspiring and insightful.
Grateful for the recovery community. I learn so much from all of you. Thank you!

Grateful for my (now normal) sober awakenings. Grateful for a good sleep last night. Grateful that today is mine to do with as I please, no obligations other than a good walk with the dogs.
Grateful that my kids understand that Christmas is not just about gifts. We are cutting back this year, not because we can't afford it, but because we don't need stuff to be happy. I am giving more to those who really do need it.
Grateful for cooking as well... I enjoy trying new things, and I usually start with a recipe and then go a little bit sideways... always tastes great.
Grateful to the fresh snowfall, always looks so pretty outside... sun will be rising in approx. 1 1/2 hours... maybe I will take some pictures.
Grateful the house is quiet this morning... everyone is sleeping, allowing me to enjoy my time on SR and work on my sobriety during this difficult time of the year.
Grateful for my friends on SR. You all mean so much to me.
Grateful to have a choice as to weather to stay at home today or go out... it is fine either way.
Grateful that when I was out Christmas shopping this week I wasn't rushing to get home to have drink.
Grateful to be looking forward to 2011... I just know it is going to be a fabulous year full of adventure, laughter, love, sobriety, accomplishments, and the continuation of working on simplifying my world.
Grateful for rule 62.
Grateful for food, clothing, warm house, my business, and my kids (including my little bischon frise (sp??)) and hubby.
Grateful for another chance at life..............

Today, I am grateful for fresh brewed coffee and a quiet house. Wait scratch that last part. My dog is now awake and barking at the next door neighbor's dog. It was nice while it lasted.
I'm really grateful that customer service stayed on the phone with me for 30 mins while I figured out how to program my heart rate monitor!
I'm grateful that I have so many horrible pictures of me out drinking with my friends. Every time I come across a pic of me looking trashed with a drink in my hand it reminds me why I quit drinking. Cause I'm just not the kind of girl that can just have one cocktail and go home.
I'm grateful that I'm starting to enjoy my life!

good morning sneezy and regal kitty!
grateful to no longer spend Sunday morning starting off with a drink....and continuing the distructive pattern...all under the guise of "getting back to sleep"....
so what if i'm awake at 630AM? grateful for the peace and quiet, fresh coffee and watching TV or reading.
grateful that we are having 2" of rain and it is NOT snow or ice.....i can slosh, but i am bad at skating on ice....the dog has 4 feet to balance himself, i only have 2.
back later 'taters....hope you all have a wonderful happy morning too.

Grateful to wake up feeling great plugging the Christmas lights in and really enjoying them... grateful for quiet time in the morning... and grateful to be looking forward to today... more time doing family things.

Good morning! Today I am grateful for a fire in the fireplace, hot coffee, and sock monkey slippers my friend gave me. (can't look at a sock monkey and not smile )
Oh yeah - VERY grateful for another sober morning

Grateful for another sober happy awakening. Grateful for the gift of sobriety and the better life it's giving me. Grateful to be taking good care of my beloved dogs and not neglecting their needs. Grateful for the happiness that comes from watching them enjoy their delicious breakfast.
