Friday morning grats:

1) Grateful for recognizing my faults and instead of acting quickly (read "irrationally") I can often choose plan B.

2) Grateful that I am learning to like myself a tiny bit.

3) Grateful for my 3 godsends. Love them so much.

4) Grateful for my husband. We really are a good team.

5) Grateful that something that has been needling me the past few days, seems to have abated a little bit. I don't have to be mean to someone that "I feel" is offensive. I can just ignore them. If this works, it will be a huge step in terms of my evolution (think Missing Link). Baby steps.

6) Grateful that the low low low offer that we received on our house is nothing to get my underwear in a bunch about. We'll counter and see what happens. We are lucky in that we don't *have to* sell our house. We have a bottom line that we won't go below. Cut and dry.

7) Grateful that I am clued into the codependency that runs rampant in my family. Grateful to be working on this a little. Makes life a lot simpler.

8) Grateful for my fun job! Grateful for thrifts. Grateful that a buyer that had a beef turned out to be a genuine and nice person. I was all worried about nothing. Need to work on this: Not always assuming the worst about people and situations.

9) Grateful that my life is pretty dang nice.

10) Grateful for sobriety and all of you guys

Have a nice and peaceful weekend everyone

((LH)) We were up at the same time this morning... Maybe it's the full moon?

Saturday grats:

1) Grateful to be realizing that not only do I know that I can't drink again... I really *don't want to* either. It's a slow process, but my mourning for wine is ebbing.

2) Grateful that today's mindset is not focused on what has been pissed away, but more on what can be accomplished.

3) Grateful for the happiness that each morning brings.

4) Grateful that this house selling experience has given us a new appreciation of our current house. We've also done a lot of improvements that we wouldn't have done otherwise. The thought that we might not be able to sell isn't a bitter pill to swallow anymore and I'm very thankful for that.

5) Grateful this even though I'm not a spring chicken, I still have some spunk left in me.

6) Very thankful and feeling very lucky that I'm the mother of my 3 kids.

7) Grateful to be able to move forward and not dwell too much on the past. Work in progress.

8) Grateful for my husband. Grateful he has many healthy and or interesting hobbies.

9) Grateful for SR.

10) Grateful for all my grat pack friends.

Well I didn't make it here last night. Son and I went to bed early!!! Sleepovers are overrated in my book.

Grateful this Saturday morning for -

1. An incredibly beautiful NM morning sky. Sun is coming up and has painted the sky all sorts of beautiful lavender and purple colors. This is where the artists get these color ideas from.

2. Finishing a really interesting book about a college kid that gave up all his money and worldly possessions to go and live off the land in Alaska. He didn't make it out, but I knew that ahead of time. Great quotes from Jack London, which was a favorite author of his and interesting perspective on the human race and what life meant to him. Highly recommend it "Into the Wild."

3. Great authors, musicians and artists. Love creativity. Trying to find my own creative spark.

4. Coffee - really good coffee this morning.

5. Chicken soup that I made 2 days ago and is just about gone.

6. A weekend with no big plans. Yeah!!! Next weekend we have LOTS of plans!

7. Good health.

8. My son, husband and pets.

9. Being sober and having it have become normal for me.

10. Conveniences - coffee pot, oven, laundry machines, vacuum cleaners, mixers, television, internet, computers . . .

Sat nite grats for:

1. The miracle of a new baby!

2. Curling up in front of the tv with a good movie and a warm dog

5. The pumpkin I got today for a jack-o-lantern. Which reminds me, gotta find out when Halloween is going to be celebrated this year, Sat or Sun?

8. My friend's little girl who gave me a big unsolicited hug

9. God's sheltering wing

10. How blessed I am for loving family and friends

11. SR and the courageous, funny, wise people here!

Have a good rest of the weekend, all

PS HL, I've seen the movie Into the Wild - excellent! Will have to get the book now....

Grateful this Tuesday for -

1. Getting through Monday and Tuesday volunteer days. I have 2 days off! Woo hoo!!!

2. Grateful for getting a household chore done. Something for the family and not the school.

3. Grateful for clearing the air with someone. I don't like to play mind games and feel as though I'm in high school and not a 44 year old woman. So done with those days.

5. Grateful for my 2 lazy dogs and cat.

8. Grateful that the sun is out and the house is warm because of it.

9. Grateful for my husband and son.

10. Grateful to be a sober, whole person - most of the time any way.

Sneezy - Love you and am so glad you joined SR and have quickly become such an integral part of this place.

Grateful this Wednesday for -

1. Mom coming over and surprising us with a brand new coffee maker and its one of those fancy kinds. LOL! Its like Christmas in October. Seriously don't know what I have done to deserve such a blessing as I have with my Mom in my life. I'm so grateful for this woman.

2. Having the drive to make some homemade "chicken pot pie" soup. Its interesting and was loved by everyone (even my son!) My son is the most picky eater in the world, no, universe!!

3. Getting house cleaned from top to bottom today and laundry done.

4. Having a list of errands to run tomorrow and being grateful I have a reliable vehicle to get these things accomplished.

5. Getting pumpkin carved or actually, starting it and leaving husband to finish it. I've never been good at carving pumpkins.

6. Son's costume really coming together. Husband made him a homemade one this year and its fantastic. He's going as a knight.

7. Thanks to the new coffee pot I will be awake tonight, but grateful. Had 2 cups of REALLY good coffee this afternoon and evening.

8. Being able to be home for my son and husband and having the ability and time to give to my son's school. Wouldn't be able to do that if I was working and I am VERY grateful to be able to be a stay at home mom. I thank God every day for this gift.

9. My husband, son, and loving pets.

10. Being sober another 24 hours.
