Morning Gratitude-Part 15
Welcome to the 'grat pack', fellow buckeye!
THis morning I'm grateful to have all my mental faculties present and working pretty well (most of the time).
Also grateful, as always, to wake up sober and reasonably healthy.

welcome camanche and Palm, you both have beautiful avatars! i love palm trees, i don't get to see them very often.
grateful that i drew strength from all of my previous experience and coped with this never-ending stress from work in a healthy way....i was feeling so down and depressed yesterday when i got home, i contemplated a glass of wine several times and started playing the "justification game"....i remembered all that i had read here including some advice about how "cravings" are really passed in 7 minutes....decided a nice walk with my little dog was a better option....along the way we ran into neighbors who were enjoying the continued good weather, chatting with other people was helpful. then i cooked a real dinner and watched a new TV show, "my Generation", and Grey's anatomy (which is so ridicules, but i enjoy critiquing the absurdity). slept well and have more energy to deal with the poopola at work again.
at least when i work this weekend, there will be no idiots around.

Today I'm grateful for a good night's sleep and to have woken up a bit early, thus allowing me to spend some quality time my wife, our baby, and our dogs and rabbits. Grateful that sobriety has given me tools for dealing with days where I feel a bit off so it doesn't have to ruin my day.
I'm also grateful for this thread- such a nice way to start the day!

I'm grateful to be of service to my wife and able to allow her to sleep in a bit, grateful for some peaceful time with our son and our pets, grateful for the nice weather, grateful for the quiet of early morning, and grateful for the joys of a sober weekend.
Forward we go...side by side-Rest In Peace

Grateful this morning is "buddy" shopping day.....
3 of us are going to pick up free boxes from a monthly
food bank. These are pantry items.....we come back here
take whatever we need...then pass them on to other neighbors.
Really handy....we are on SS and it's a week before payday.
