Today I am grateful for the opportunity to wake up and remember where I came from and where I never want to go again. I am grateful to be in a program of recovery that keeps me honest and accountable to my fellows. Today I have the opportunity to be better then I was yesterday and to be open to suggestions of my peers and sponsor on things I can do to improve or ways to see my part. Today I have the opportunity to get connected and stay connected to my higher power even when I'm driving down the freeway and close my eyes to pray then remember that I can't drive with my eyes closed anymore. Today I am grateful to be alive.
