Thanks Button
I'm grateful for the Thanks button.
I'm often somebody who needs to reply if I get into a post, but I find the button really useful in more than one way. It initially reminded me of that experience of hearing "Thank you, _________" to each person that speaks at an AA meeting (I've been to them in the past). It's a warm feeling to be acknowledged through the sound of so many voices. But it's also a good way to just put a footprint - like "I was here" - when you don't really know what to say and can only manage so much, either because of time constraints, your lack of words, or because you don't feel equipped to address it. And it can be similar to hitting Like too, for those that have been on Facebook. So I'm glad it's an available, straightforward feature that you don't have to armwrestle with; just takes a click but adds some good weight.

Me too, Toronto
I sometimes wonder if I am a "thanks button" abuser but it is just a really nice way to acknowledge that I appreciate the fact that someone took the time to share something with us.
