Bedtime Gratitude-Part 15
grateful that newcomer i met over the weekend, now has 11 days, and showed up again tonight,
grateful i was able to give him a lift home...
and what step were we on tonight?
step 12
and what do we say when a new comer shows up?
"Welcome"
Willingness
Enlightenment
Love
Concentration
Opportunity
Maturity
Encouragement

Grateful to have had a great dinner with a new friend. Two hours talking about our lives, really getting to know each other better, and me not rushing and impatient to get home to drink in peace. Such a wonderful feeling - like things used to be. Truly appreciating friends is one of the best parts of sobriety!

Grateful for the 5 posts above mine, I've heard a few great messages and it's only 8:00 AM
I'm grateful that I've held on to the keys for the Club for 5 years, and I can still suit up, show up, and empty the trash every few days. And I ain't too proud to clean the ash cans either!

very grateful for Sober Day 9 and for being tired for the 2nd day in a row, which means i will sleep....grateful for winding down and a quiet evening before a stressful day tomorrow...filled with snowstorms, annoying dryer inspections and someone sticking their fat head up my fireplace for 2 seconds and charging me $65.00 to sign a piece of paper.....grateful I can deal with it graciously...(almost).
most of all I am grateful to be looking forward to the new days ahead.

Iīm grateful I smiled to everybody I met today and had nice conversation with the people at the market. I will remember that tomorrow as well.

grateful to have made it through day 10...and it didn't even OCCUR to me to stop at the liquor store...That is a first! and i'm grateful for forming new habits....like a calmer demeanor and patience....this might be the beginning of more peace for me? Looking forward to another good night's sleep and tomorrow.
I think your outlook is good! I'm certainly getting more peace these days.
Grateful that I stopped standing around in my living room, virtually wringing my hands over what I "should" be doing, and decided to just pause and do a brief meditation/breathing practice from a CD instead. It REALLY helped. I was about to fly into a panic otherwise.
And grateful that even though I did not do several of the things I thought I "should" do (There's that word again!), and felt like I was having trouble accomplishing anything, I actually did get quite a few things done. And I'm glad I can give myself credit for that rather than continually beating myself up.
Good "Friday Eve," all!!
Love and hugs,
Eddie
