Thank you God,
For the precious friends I've made in recovery, for the life I've been given by your grace, for a program that gives me a fighting chance to be a good person every day.
Thank you for this new life, for a loving and beautiful new bride, for the best children this father could ask for, and for a family that's always there to support me.
Thank you for a roof over our heads, food on the table, our careers and vehicles to get us there.
Thank you for opening my eyes, and giving me the opportunity every day to never take these things for granted again.

I hope it's OK if I double-dip today on being thankful, I just got some wonderful news.
Thank you God, for the gift of new life. My step-granddaughter Emmy is incredible, and we just found out she's got a sibling on the way. Gosh, remarried 2 1/2 weeks ago and already I've got more excitement in my life!
How are we going to afford Christmas gifts for all these kids, and who's going to change the diapers? Ah who cares! I love changing diapers. No, really!

Grateful to God for this new gratitude thread.
Grateful to Him for comforting the people in life that need comforting.
Grateful to God for taking care of the people that need his care.
Grateful to be one of those "people."

Thank you God, for taking the fun out of drinking. I never thought I'd be grateful for paintball welts and falling on my butt, but that's one of the ways I have fun in my new sober life.
