Bedtime Gratitude-Part 12
I am grateful my mom is FINALLY starting to change things for her health. Today she announced she was not drinking her 2 glasses of wine a night any more due to her gout, and I saw low fat stuff in the fridge!!
Thank you God!

A belated Happy Mother's Day to all the Bedtime moms. Mothers in recovery are a gift from God.
Grateful for yet another perfect weekend. Backpacking with the love of my life, then a CoDA meeting and sushi dinner when we got home. Oh, and I'm grateful for some new hiking gear too, a new LED lantern and a mattress for my aching breaking back!

I've been ignoring my elliptical for far too long, used to love using it. Must be time to break out of my box and jump back on that horse again
Grateful for daily contact with so many good people in my life. I feel so blessed to have the support and friendships.

ty RZ....and the same to you too.
Grateful to hear mr cmc jammin' the Blues on his harmonica alongside some tunes on the cable music channel:
"Early One Morning" and "Oke-She-Moke-She-Pop"
It's been way too long since I've heard him play like that.

Got any suggestions for some old, classic blues I might get into? Been a rocker all my life but I do listen to some newer blues artists. Just need someone to point me in the right direction on the older stuff.
Grateful for a really nice day: A long day at work but in time for my son's baseball game. And some laughs with my wife when we got home.
Grav...those two were done by Chris James & Patrick Rynn, the others on tonight were:
Honey Boy Edwards' "Pony Blues"; Little Milton's "The Blues Is Alright"; and Junior Parker's "Pretty Baby"
Some others worth checking out are: Big Mama Thornton, Howling Wolf, Earl Hooker, and Sonny Boy Williamson.

I just downloaded songs by Big Mama Thornton, Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Robert Johnson. I also downloaded a Robert Cray song - forgot about him - saw him at Ottawa Bluesfest years ago. iTunes (99 cents each) - the AA member in me won't let me download for free! Starting a "blues" playlist on my iPod.

Checked out his videos/tunes. Sweet! Ever listen to:

One of my favorite artists. Rockin' blues. Saw/met him in a blues club a few years back. Just blew me away.
Keep the suggestions coming!
Grateful for the blues!
Grateful for a very busy day-all day long; and a nice late lunch at the pier with some recovery friends.
Grateful for the yummy grilled grouper I ate; it was cooked just right and served with a huge salad of field greens.
Grateful to know that things are as they should be.
The topic for my meeting was about accepting and living in the reality of today...it couldn't have been a better choice for me today.
