Today's gratitude
Today I am grateful that I have a place to live with heat. It is really cold, getting down to below 10 tonight, which is unseasonable for my neck of the woods. Some people don't have a warm place to live like me.

I was watching my kids play with a friend yesterday and remembered a phrase that I read in a book called, "Life is Short, Wear Your Party Pants." Just as I was about to lose it with them (because I was hanging out for when the friend had to go home so I could have a drink), I remembered this...
"Instead of being angry and stressed because your kids are playing noisily, be grateful that they have the ability to play and be noisy, and that you have the ability to see and hear them."
