A Little Whisper

I am grateful for my children. My youngest son has been sick for the past four days. Right now, he is sitting at his desk catching up on some school work and I can hear him whispering thru the wall to one of his brothers for a homework answer. Normally, I would tell him "no fair to cheat!" but tonight I am grateful to hear that little boy voice in a whisper instead of a cough. I am so grateful for that.

Jomey - I read on another thread that you now have all three kids at home sick. Hopefully you will stay healthy through all this.
BTW - I bought stock in Kleenex and Vicks.

Might not realize a huge profit now, RZ, as they are all getting better, but it's only November - flu season here usually lasts till March, so if you can look at it as a long range investment.... LOL!

I have a case of strep throat under my roof now, this time it's my daughter. I'm hoping that the antibiotics and rest will heal her up really quick as high school basketball tryouts begin Monday

Hey Rusty - My avvie is just a picture that I picked up off the net because I am too clueless for uploading and all that carrying on...seriously computer deficient...but we do live in a farming community in the mountains near an Amish community and there are alot of Mennonites and Shakers in the area also. In fact, the livestock auction (which is held twice a week -which tells you something right there) is run by a Mennonite group - when you pull into the parking lot there is a sign with arrows there and instead of saying something like Trucks------> and
<--------Cars it says Motors------> and <------Buggies!

I dont' think much about it anymore because I am a farmer and a horse trainer, I spend a lot of time in their world. The only thing I marvel over still is that tourists come to see them. I don't know why...it just seems unusual to me as an idea for a vacation, but I guess that's just 'cause I take their lives and ways as a matter of course.

Simplicity maintained thru hard work is a core of their lives...and I love that. I never thought of it being reflected in their quilting, even tho there is an Amish inspired quilt on my bed! Cool insight, Rusty, thanks!

If i can find a nightcap for an adult, with Amish designs, like the one in your avvie, you can count on it for Christmas! I love that baby!!!
