I Am Grateful For AA
I am extremely grateful today that such a wonderful program of AA exists. Because of it, I found my way back to God (my HP) yesterday while doing step 3.
I am grateful that my sponsor spent 2 solid hours reading and explaining things to me in detail last night despite the fact that she is a single mother with three young children to take care of. I am grateful that she shared some of her story with me, then got on her knees with me while I prayed.
I am grateful that there is a community of people out there who understand the alcoholic demons and the anguish and despair I felt.
I am grateful that there are people who have answered my desperate phone calls at 2am when they had to get up for work the next day.
I am grateful that there is such a simple but effective solution to those of us who need a simple but effective solution!
I am grateful that despite the fact that I claimed to be sober for 30 days, but lied and slipped twice during that time, that when I admitted it to them all, they welcomed me back with open arms and forgiving smiles.
And best of all... I am GRATEFUL that the OBSESSION has been almost completely removed from me since I completed the 3rd step of the program yesterday!
