Soberrecovery
I was feeling a little down due to passing a new decade marker on my birthday. I opened my e-mail and I had a happy birthday wish from SoberRecovery. Anyway, you guys are always so great. I go to the forums when every I am feeling down or starting to get back into old patterns and habits. Anyway, today I just wanted to say that I am thankful for the thougtfuness and caring of all the people who take the time to offer encouragement and support. I am grateful.

The good things
The 12 step program I attend is alanon and there are alot of good things that I have gotten out of alanon. Being grateful is a big one. When I focus on what I am grateful for, my whole attitude changes and the way that I relate to others changes....and all for the better.

I posted my gratefulness for sober recovery because I was truely surprised and grateful that someone sent me a birthday greeting on my birthday....I wasn't imagining that other people would send me birthday wishes too. I feel very blessed. I am smiling as I write this. Thank you.
