things I should not take for granted

my health, my sobriety, my kids, my job, my home and pets.
My gratitude for everything today lasts one day at a time. I need reminders about how fragile everything is and how temporary everything is, otherwise I return to thinking "it is all mine, all her for me" and get sick again.
I am grateful today, this mornig for a job to go to a car to get there in and money for the gas to fuel my car.
My hope for me today and you is that we share with others the happiness and hope we have found laying at our doorstep in recovery.

Thanks for that post.

Things I should not take for granted are:
A loving mother who feeds me to save me money.
An aunt who lets me live in her house even though we have a bad past.
A job so that I can provide for my needs.
Friends who remain even though I derailed so disasterously.
Access to healthcare to fix some of the damage I have done to myself.
My kitty that is unconditional in her regard of me.
What is left of my brain.
A value system that upgrades itself as often as I work it.
The steady improvement I see in my life when I work it.

I need to realise that when I take things forgranted that they might not be there always and as soon as I hold no value for what I am granted then its likely that it can be taken away.

Thanks for letting me share
