1. I put an end to the alcohol abuse. Easiest of all.
2. I was able to work through the grief which followed the demise of my first wife [before that, my entire family]. The alcohol abuse, which began after her demise, was an impediment.
3. I was fortunate to find a new partner to make a new life.
4. I was able to leave that toxic environment -- the house, the city, the state. And, go to a new and better place.
5. I am able to accept that I have found a new life; new family; new home. And, to live well.
6. I am glad that I found the inner strength and the courage [ grace and skill under extreme pressure] to carry out the above.
There is nothing special about me; we all have within us the strength and the courage to surmount.
No one is weak or cowardly; unless one decides to be.
