It’s been 17 days of No Contact with my ex-partner. She was my first same-sex relationship and I was head over heals. I was her first as well. I was a prime target for her narcissism. I was naive to her prescription drug use and always forgave her for her drinking rages because she “didn’t need to drink every day because I'm not an alcoholic.” She would always say she was sorry, “but” I had been the reason why she had gotten angry enough to drink in the first place. No Contact feels like I can breath again. I have periods where I miss her intensely. I wonder if she ever thinks of our relationship or if she’s already moved on. I’m done with the “I can’t believe she did this to me” and working on the “why did I let her do this to me over and over.” Work in progress...
