Stimulus checks- who is worried
 

Anyone else see disaster heading their way the second their addict gets ahold of the stimuls money? I will be honest. I am terrified.

I see a possible "fight" as to how the money will be spent. Spouse is very controlling, another story for another day.

Good luck to you and hoping you can find a way to protect what is yours. Arranging to have the check direct deposited to an account only you can access is one idea.

Do you have direct deposit with the IRS?

It's not my spouse- it is my adult child. I can't control her but I can still be frightened. I know she got the check. I am anxious to see if sobriety lasts past a stimulus check. I pray. Its all I can do.

Can I add prayers for you and your adult child?

I live in Alaska where residents get a Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) check every October. During the weeks following the PFD distribution, there is an increase in domestic violence and other crimes associated with substance abuse. I understand your concern and pray that your daughter doesn't give in to temptation and stays sober.
