Join me in 30 Days of Gratitude...
I am grateful that today was like a day in spring, warm and sunshine and a chance to walk off the winter fatigue.
Fresh air and sunshine are all I need to get outdoors and surround myself with nature once more.

Today I am grateful for another warm day, even though snow is melting and making a mess for walking.
Grateful too for having a little zoo up the road where I can walk and visit my zoo creature friends. They know me, I think.

Doesn't it? I finally broke down and got a CPAP. I am so grateful that I did. I was waking up 29 an hour, per my sleep study. I always woke up feeling so tired. Now, I wake up feeling rested. It has truly been a life changer.
One of the joys of retirement, for which I am grateful, is that I can sleep well at night and nap during the day if I feel I need it. Naps are a luxury to me, I would have killed for some when I was working.
Also, I am grateful PJ is on the mend and has good medical treatments ahead of him that will help him heal more.

This morning I am grateful for modern medicine and good treatments that keep me well to do the things I love.
And I am grateful for the elusive bald eagle that likes to fly over me when I am hiking through snowy trails looking for him. He taunts me, he knows I cannot shoot him in the air, my camera cannot focus that quickly, so even though I cannot immortalize him in a picture, I CAN enjoy the experience and call out "hello, old friend" when he flies over, to which he replies with his high pitched whistle.

Today I am grateful to live at a time when we have (almost) overcome bigotry, racism, sexism, and are accountable for how we treat each other.
We are not a perfect world, and we must still stand for those who cannot stand for themselves. I am grateful that I CAN stand, and that I can do my little part to keep the world a better place.

Glad you had fun, LMN.
I am grateful today for sunshine and fresh snow (to show me tracks) and good roads so I can search for some good outdoor nature. Nature calms my soul like nothing else can.
This fella is one from several herds that live less than an hour from me...I am grateful to have found them.

I am grateful to LMN and Ann - for what they share, for how they inspire, and I do pray for the best for you both and all who frequent this forum!
BTW - I love the photo shares, Ann.
I am very grateful that I grew up in a home in the country and for the many memories of the beauty of nature -- of hikes into the woods my brothers, friends and I would take -- enjoying every minute of it; of the lovely herd of deer that would stop as if on cue, easily viewed in the backdrop of snow on the trees and ground, as our family sat at the table eating breakfast, peering curiously through the kitchen window.
I do miss those days but am glad I had the experiences as a youngster.

Wow Ann, your picture is beautiful.
Such a beautiful memory, Anaya.
I am grateful that I do not have to deal (I chose not to) with an active addict. My anxiety is gone, I have so much more energy and I practice self care now. My life is now peaceful and drama free....just the way I want it.

Anaya, that sounds like a wonderful place to grow up. I love the country and hills and forests and critters that habitate those places.
LMN, I too am grateful to have overcome crippling codependency and risen above my dysfunctional past to a place of peace and light. Speaking of light, the bright crescent moon is shining in my window right now, reminding me that all is well with the world.

I am grateful today for my family on the west coast, who I will visit soon and spend a few weeks out there watching seals and sea lions, whales and eagles. I am grateful for health to do this too. And will have my phone so can still post every day here.
