AA but for drugs ?
AA but for drugs ?
Hi,
Sorry if this is a silly question but as well as having my (alcohol) own recovery to worry about (which is going well) I have a son who has a drug problem. I won't go into lots of detail (it's a very long story) but he's showing some signs of at least admitting he has a problem (which he has had for years and to everyone else is blindingly obvious) and he's going to go to the UK NHS based addiction service. As per the title is there anything else I can suggest to him that might help, I suppose similar to AA but anything really? In terms of his substance of choice, pretty much anything and everything but benzos are just beyond horrible. I don't think that matters though, he just needs to stop taking drugs ...

I'm glad to hear that your son will
seek help for his addiction and to
learn to live addiction free with a
continuous recovery program moving
forward to achieve many awesome
gifts ahead of him.
