I attended my second Alanon meeting tonight and I am definitely looking forward to next weeks. My friend at work has been going through a rough time so I asked her if she wanted to attend a meeting with me, I told her I always wanted to go but, just needed a push. She has been going with me and are both feeling really good about going. My AH thinks I am cheating on him because I want to the meeting tonight, I told him that I need this for me and I think he should go to a meeting for himself. Crazy because I am usually the one wondering what he is doing and questioning him. We are gonna talk and maybe he will be open to attending a meeting for him. I can only hope.

Good for you and your friend, Sis. Going to meetings was the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Whether your husband follows your lead and goes to his own meetings or not, you have found a lifeline that will serve you well in many years to come.

Good for you Sis! I read some of your back story when I saw you've been a member for a while and am even more excited you made the leap for a face to face support group. Finding myself is exactly how I would describe what the al anon program has done for me also.
