One year clean coin from na

I have been asked by my son who is one year clean and sober. He goes to narc Anon. Hr adked me to give him his coin. I am more than honored but I dont know what to say. Is there a format, how long do I speak, etc. Can anyone help. Thank you.

I'm not in AA or NA but I think you just commemorate the anniversary. And if it were me, I'd give him a hug after giving him the coin.

It is fairly simple, no format. A year is a big deal, one which many do not achieve.

Tell him you are very proud of him and that you love him. Don't overthink the whole thing, just speak from your "Mom" heart and you will do just fine.
