I have already spoken to two lawyers and am well prepared for that. I come from a family of lawyers (one specifically in juvenile rights so I know how all this works) and social workers. I am well on top of things in that aspect. I consider myself smart and well read and I have done my research about all of this. I am also a child of divorce which is why this is especially upsetting for me. All of that aside, this is still very emotionally difficult and challenging to go through, as I know everyone on this website understands. I am not blind to what I am certain is going on and I by no means think there's anything I can do or say to uncover the truth right now. I'm just trying to stay afloat and do what is right for myself and my kids. It's very hard to make decisions when nothing seems clear.

you make decisions based on what is BEST for you and the children. that should be very clear. shelter, safety, sanity. your AH has removed himself from the equation.
