I did get some "no" practice that I'm proud of. He recently quit his job very suddenly (and refusing to take advantage of extended sick leave policies that could have kept him on payroll for several months) and decided he wants to go back to school. As soon as he quit the job he mentioned that we could use the second mortgage to pay for his year of school. MY mortgage. I've not been dumb enough to add him to it and I was strong enough to say that we would NOT use the second mortgage for his school. "No" is hard for me with him especially but I've been sticking to that one.

I have gotten so good at saying No. Maybe it's because I had a great teacher......(((Ann)))

Him - Please give me another chance.....uhm, No.

I can't live with hurt I caused you. Please let me make it up to. No, thank you!

I cant live with my guilt and shame. That's between you and God. And again, no thank you!

Can I please come visit you? No, this is not a good time for me.

Co-worker - Can you work for me Saturday? (My day off). No, not this Saturday, thanks for opportunity though.

Love and miss you Ann,

Grasshopper (with a secret recipe) 😜

Yes! This! No IS a complete sentence, we don't have to give a reason or explain. "No" really does say it all.

I am delighted that so many have joined in here. Admit it, we all have so many "no's" bottled up and if feels good to get them out.

LMN, I am tickled to see you grasshopper, I should have known you'd show up for the "No" party.

It helps if we can get our pets to side with us...
