Lotus angel,

So sorry for your loss.

You are living the ultimate fear shared by all of us parents with addicted children. Steve Dan Mills sums it all up at about the 2 minute mark in this song.

Song: Where Is My Child Tonight? by Steve Dan Mills - Recovery Now TV

Keep coming back,

Jim

Lotusangel, I'm sending up prayers for you & your family to be comforted. I'm certain you will see him again. I hope sharing your thoughts here will help relieve a bit of the pain. You are cared about and loved.

This is kind of a spiritual belief, so please ignore it if it does not resonate. Abraham-Hicks (Law of Attraction) teach that when someone passes on to "non-physical" they return to a state of "pure positive energy." I find that a comforting thought and hope it might resonate with you. They also teach that when you raise your vibration, you can connect with your loved one. They haven't "gone" anywhere . . .

I'm so sorry that you have lost your son. I tried to believe that my exABF was in a better place, but I just wanted him here.

Your son has been released from his battle with this beast.

He truly is at peace ... right now.

I will keep you in my prayers. That you find solace in your granddaughter and strength to raise her or help with her during her life. She is the light that will continue to shine for you.

Hugs to you dear momma. You suffered alongside your son. There is no greater love.

I would like to add my sympathy to the others here & my wishes that words could bring more comfort at a time like this, but I know they don't.

gentle pink hugs to you & all who love your wonderful son

That is a lovely poster, and the quote is from Martin Luther King, Jr.

JOIE12, thank you so much for your kinds words. I hope to find the right words to explain things to my granddaugther. Last night was a rough night for her. She is missing her Dad so much. I pray for the right words to say to her or know when just to be silent to allow her to grieve in the best manner for her. I thank all my SR friends for allowing me to vent in in this forum when I have no other place to turn to. Love you all. We share a special bond.

Dear Lotusangel, my heart breaks for the loss of your dear son. May the love of your granddaughter and friends help you through this most difficult time. This is something parents here fear all the time. Praying for God to bring you comfort and peace. We lost my nephew a few years ago and his mother has found great help with the group Compassionate Friends. You might see if they have one local. The sadness doesn't lessen but it will get softer....in time. Hugs.

Lotusangel, I am thinking of you today and wanted to send love and prayers. I hope your granddaughter is doing as well as she can be, and that you are, too.

I'm sure your granddaughter finds comfort in knowing that you will help her keep the memory of her dad alive and that you miss him terribly as well. My thoughts and prayers remain with you both.
