Merry Christmas No Matter What
Merry Christmas No Matter What
Dear Friends
I want to take a moment and wish each of you a wonderful warm Merry Christmas, filled with hope and joy and peace...no matter what else is happening in your life today.
For many years, Christmas was a painful time for me, where I felt the loss of my son and so I missed all the good things that the season brings, the love of friends and family, the smiles of children, the music that is special to this time of year...I didn't pay attention to any of it because I was wrapped in fear and sadness and just could not find the joy.
Somehow, through the years, that changed, and this year the joy was the greatest of all. This year I made a point of going out to see the beautiful lights, to listen to Christmas concerts on TV and to spend special time with my small family not far from here, last night for a Christmas Eve dinner and celebration.
For those feeling lost or sad today, please take time to go for a walk and notice God's beauty around you. Take special time to count your blessings, as few as you feel they may be, and take quiet time to decide what you can do to make the coming year an even better one. Self-care and healthy projects can bring us all to a better place.
Wherever you are, whatever is happening in your life today, I wish you all a day and coming year filled with joy, peace, love and light.
Love you all.

A very merry Christmas to a wonderful lady and
all my other great SR pals, too. Christmas Day is a
gift (just like the other 364 days of the year!).
Like Ann says, take a walk and marvel at
nature. Go checkout a duckpond and see the
aquatic fowl make asses of themselves!
And yes I know I am setting myself
up with that last remark.

Merry Christmas and thank you to everyone who helped me through the rough times this past year when I was feeling so very vunerable and lonely. I never would have imagined last year at this same time, I'd be feeling so much better and living life in such a positive way. My daughters and I are doing great without all the drama. Dare I say life has gotten a little boring? And thank God for that! It's a blessing! Much of that is due to the guidance and help I received from people around me and on here. God Bless and may the new year bring you peace and happiness!

Speaking of fowl, lol, I am cooking a big turkey today for just Mr. Ann and I...I am a sucker for leftovers.
hugs to everyone.
Thank you Joie and everyone.
As many of you know, we recently moved to a new area, this time by Lake Ontario, another great lake, I DO love my water. Yesterday we explored nature paths and walking areas as well as several beaches along the shore and it just lifted my spirits like nothing else can. I saw the most beautiful red tailed hawk and watched him for quite some time, quietly by the shore,,,I didn't have my camera (next time I will) and my cell phone cannot zoom enough to get a good shot, so I just watched and enjoyed and felt the breeze off the water. I love that we have no snow yet and it seems the birds love it too and were out in all their glory.
That may not be very Christmas-ish but it gets me out and I feel better for the walk and the exposure to nature at its best.
Hugs
