What meth can do.....

it's no joke that meth is an EVIL drug that can make people do unimaginable, unfathomable things.

they say this drug making/drug taking binge went on for 38 hours, and the little boy was shut in another room the entire time.

ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- A toddler died of hyperthermia after being left alone in a room for 38 hours with a space heater running, police say.

KTVI reports that the child's mother, 22-year-old Kathleen M. Peacock discovered 2-year-old Braydon dead and ran to a neighbor's home for help in the Elm Point Mobile Home Village. The neighbor noticed that the room was extremely hot.

St. Charles police told the TV station that the child's parents were cooking methamphetamine at the time of Braydon's death.

They said the couple ignored the child's cries while they were on a weekend drug binge.

Peacock, and the child's father, 25-year-old Lucas R. Barnes face charges of child abuse and neglect and manufacturing meth.

Police said that Peacock is pregnant with another child.

So, so sad.

It is so sad that the draw of the drug is stronger than the instinct to care for a child. Just sad.

If the devil himself made a drug, meth would be it.

I read this, this morning and it just broke my heart!! My children are the air I breath and I would crumble if any harm came to them! As it should be for every mother!! If they are not they should be given the chance to be loved and adored by someone who longs to give that!!

So so terribly sad!! :puppy_dog

This is the kind of stuff that makes me furious. When innocent children suffer because of addiction. My heart is broken after reading this.

With the addict I crossed paths with it was Oxy, which morphed into
heroin when the shoplifting became her mode of daily living ( hard to
steal $500/day consistently). But there came a day where she and the
serial felon she was shacking up with got evicted by the Sheriff from the rathole they called home.

The charge sheet listed meth. That was game over. I never saw or acknowleged her again. I changed my phone # shortly thereafter.

Meth is that bad, a game changer, an evil beyond imagination. When you
come across it RUN don't walk.

A beautiful defenseless baby, cooked alive.
I wish I could say it surprises me. But meth HAS no out of bounds.

It is stories like this and so many other stories that bring many of us here on SR to advocate so strongly for the innocent children caught in the crossfire of alcoholism/drugs.

Sadly, this is so very true. Meth can turn the kindest, nicest soul into a completely different person, one that you don't even recognize. If I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes, I wouldn't have believed it. Like Vale said, if you ever encounter it, RUN as fast and as far as you can to get away from it.
