This time I don't believe him!
Yesterday he messaged me saying he hasn't got a problem.
Today he messaged me saying he 'doesn't know what to do'.
I am very aware of my codependency so I simply told him he's got to want to change and become well etc and said he has support out there if he does decide to change. He messaged back " thank you ". I wanted so badly to tell him to do this and that and to offer to book rehab etc but I stopped myself and for that I am proud. I have spent the rest of the day playing with my girls and baking cakes and keeping busy keeping us happy. This is a big change from other times when he's made out he's ready to stop. This time I am refusing to believe a thing until he is DOING all the right things, not SAYING all the right things. Because, frankly, I have heard it all before!
I don't understand why they have moments where they make out they are ready to quit but then nothing ever comes of it! But then there's so much about addiction I will never understand!
