I wanted to see how many of you participate in alanon/naranon?

For those of you who do, how long into the program did you take on sponsees?

Al-anon truly saved my life - My "sanity date" is 09/03/2003

I probably had been in the program almost 2 yrs before I had sponsees - I focused on apply the Slogans, and then working the steps - then I was asked to Sponsor someone along the time I had finished working the steps the First time.

I have been regularly attending NarAnon since July 2012 after my daughter's second relapse. My current group (just over a year old) has not had formal sponsorships, but we are starting to talk about it, read NarAnon literature on the topic and decide what our next steps will be. The thing we have done is offer a phone list of those willing to talk to new members or anyone in the group between meetings.
