I'm not crazy
I'm not crazy
I may be sick, but I'm not crazy. The grapevine has confirmed my x's relapse. I'm not crazy, and I am not surprised.
I'm just not there yet. That place we all come to SR to find.
Where we look at what we see, and accept it as reality.
Where we realize that there's nothing that could have been done--or undone--to prevent it from happening.
Where we realize that our ex is our ex. And not our business anymore.
Where we learn that who we think we could be and who we are are not always congruent.
Where we understand that our gut is usually right.
Where we know that if we take care of ourselves, above all else, all will be ok.
I've spotted some of the landmarks. I've picked up some souvenirs. But I'm still traveling.
And I'm still not crazy.

auroraxborealis,
"Where we realize that our ex is our ex. And not our business anymore."
I was at an addiction / recovery meeting / symposium / lecture one night and the speaker was responding to a question after her presentation -- I do not know if the person asking the question was a "plant" in the audience - might have been judging by the response!
Anyhow, the question was "How do I differentiate between what IS my business and what is NOT my business."
The speaker reached behind the podium and pulled out a hula-hoop, she dropped the hula-hoop over her head and let it drop to the floor -- "If it is inside of the hoop, it's my business; outside of the hoop it's someone elses!"
