Methadone Clinics and Going on a Vacation
 

What can you do when you are visiting a methadone clinic every weekday and you get a vacation at work and want to go out of town for a few days? Is this possible?
My friend is getting take-homes now for weekends. The clinic has branches in other areas including one we want to visit. Friend is hoping to get to do third day take-home on a Monday or Friday but so far they don't do three-day take-homes.
I don't even know if I want to bring this up yet as he is doing so well with his program at the clinic. He wants to get away for a vacation but I don't want to even suggest something that might interfere with the success he is experiencing so far.
Is it better to try to get away and find a branch clinic? Or just stay home where everything is familiar and just chill out there while you're off work?

Contact the clinic in the City where you will be.
Contact them and ask if they will need some documentation ?

right, if the friends asks.....sometimes we want to do for others before they have had a chance to decide WHAT they want to do!

He did "figure it out," -- all on his own, with not even an idea from me -- then invited me to go with him on a week's vacation! So now we are happily counting the days 'til we head out on the road. There will be early-morning visits to a local clinic and we will combine those outings with breakfast at some interesting local spot, or maybe exploring, so all we have to do now is count off the days on our calendar!!!!
