You Can Do This
I have had a totally relaxing day and it's helped me feel better. Even with confidence in my doctor and procedure, there was stress going through such a busy day...so it's as much mental relief as physical and I am wrapping myself in a nice peaceful day with a roast in the slow cooker.
Oh sure, CO, pass on the duck cookies but eat the gingerbread men.

I'm doing my best, but Canada seems to equate ducks
with those filthy flying swine known as Canadian geese.
You know, those massive honking poop factories that leave
tons of 'gifts' on the lawns of decent people!
Vale is'nt fluent in French (having wasted 4 years of
HS French---hey! get off my back.... the prettiest girls
were in French class!!!)
Anyway, I walk into the shop----next thing I am getting
'escorted' to the street by the wrong end of a broom! I tried
explaining my situation in the native tongue but their response
was something to the effect of " Stop speak French now,
you mouth is toilet, out now you filthy animal".
But perseverance is Vale's middle name----
The pink T and matching handbag WILL be
procured!

I don't speak French either, Vale, lol, luckily neither do most people I know. I tried to learn it once and tried it out on a business trip to Montreal...and failed miserably...ended up in a quaint cafe in the middle of a police shootout with a motor cycle gang....and yes...someone did yell 'DUCK!!" (true story).
You can keep the pink t-shirt and handbag, all I ever needed really was nice people and ducks to cheer me on and keep me going and you all did that nicely and with flare. The bus was a nice touch and hearing you all rustling in the hall while I was in surgery was all I needed to smile and "get it done".
We may be a strange group but we walk together anyway and I am so glad to have you all walking with me.

Ann, that's hilarious, the story you just told about the shootout and someone yelling DUCK. Thank you for giving me something to smile about this early in the morning. I hope you continue to do well. You have helped me so very, very much, and I appreciate your willingness to give so much to everyone around you. I believe in angels and I believe in miracles. If we don't believe in miracles we won't get a miracle. Right?
Yeah, we're strange all right!
(but we DO walk together!)
We may all come from extremely varying backgrounds,
but when in the crossfire of addiction......
We ALL yell "DUCK!"
( If we yelled "VALE", noone would know what the hell
we were trying to communicate......)

Dear Ann,
We all do "quack" well together, don't we?
So glad this road trip is over! And a positive homecoming!
Now, please take it easy? We NEED you around us for a long time!
God Bless our Ann!!
Love to you from all of us quackers who ate the stale bread!
