Hi. Need some help from an admin...

...or someone who can point me to the appropriate thread?

I've been a member for a long time just haven't been here in awhile. My daughter was with an addict and was looking for help. I was supporting her.

Now, I have an issue of my own. It has to do with pain management. She told me there should be a forum having to do with pain management but I can't seem to find it. If someone could point me to it or move my post to that thread I would greatly appreciate it. I apologize for making more work for admins. But I'm totally lost here.

Hi jarrett

Click on forums at the top of this page and then scroll down to special interest groups. You will find it there.

Welcome!

There is a pain mgmt forum…it is near the bottom if you go to the main forum list, under special interest groups. It is a very quiet forum. If it is substance related, I know a lot of us who ended up with addiction issues as a result of trying to stave off pain post on the substance abuse forum.

Hope that helps and welcome back!

Pain meds can surely be a slippery slope.

While I can and do appreciate that view point I've been taking Ultram for 5 or 6 years. Never had to up the dose so far. I'm trying to find different things that can be tried. I'm tired of being in pain 24/7. I don't like narcotics but will take them occasionally as needed. I don't like feeling dopey. I have enough sleep issues as it is without throwing *that* in to the mix. Note: 5:58 AM on the east coast (US) and I'm awake. I *might* be able to sleep in a few hours. sigh
