Feeling lost
Every time I start getting a bit out of line----Ann posts the "duck tape"
shot.
Vale feigns disinterest and blasé disregard-----but those who know him well
KNOW he has 'tells' ( everyone does...you just have to pay attention!).Those
who have known him for YEARS know just what to expect:
1)An immediate cessation of excessive bloviating.
2)Classic male countermeasure challenging designed to obfuscate and confuse
as he desperately looks for a plausible exit strategy.
3)Increased heartbeat and respiration
4)All of the above in a poorly choreographed mess that could serve as high
comedy---were it not for the pseudo-epileptic delivery.
Vale and Ann....'kinda like watching endless Roadrunner cartoons-----wondering
WHEN the stupid canine is 'gonna figure things out......while Ann says:
"Meep Meep"
shot.

SMC, I hope you do get lots of rest...and plan something wonderful for yourself...maybe lunch with a friend or a movie, or a picnic to some lovely nature spot, or a meeting and coffee afterwards (Saturday meetings are always fun and social) or pick up a great new "whodunnit" and read until you nod off.
What helps me most when my mind wanders where I don't want it to go, is to distract myself with something that keeps me busy and makes me feel better.
Hope you have a splendid weekend.
Hugs

I take it you are a Simpson's fan Vale? I'm more of a Family Guy kinda girl but I generally don't watch a whole lot of TV. I like cable shows and Netflix a movie every now and again but that is about it
Simpson fan? Yes. But for my money there is no better art than Stewie
doing his rendition of H.M.S. Pinafore.
(Or Brian explaining basic elements of social interaction to Peter........always with
his dog martini in hand!)

Love Stewie and Brian. Loved their song "Everything's better with a bag of weed"- I used to be a little bit of a stoner but gave it up when I realized I was using it as an emotional crutch. Now I'm on the fence a bit with it. It is not legal in my state not even medically. I think if it was - I would choose it over Opana which is a time released heavy narcotic for chronic pain. I hate knowing that my body is now physically addicted to a drug. And I know I need to quit playing the "guessing game" with the ex in recovery that just ended our relationship, but I wonder if that was one of his reasons for ending it. It must have been somewhat of a struggle for him being around my Opana script being that he was a recovering heroin addict.
That explains a lot! Yes, that answers the question "Who IS this Vale guy and where does he get his thinking?"

Btw- I actually can not wait to start going to Chapel Hill hospital next month. My neurosurgeon referred me there as they have one of the best pain management centers in the country- they have several different type of nerve and epidural/nerve blocks and then I can finally start tapering off the Opana and start heavy physical therapy. I really hate being on a time released narcotic after what happened to my brother. My first appt at Chapel Hill is Sept 23rd- just a few days after my 40th birthday. Best birthday gift ever
