Thank God for Nar Anon!

Went to my first meeting tonight. Cried and it was okay. Great people. So comforting to know I'm not alone. Thank you!

Good for you - anything that helps is the way to proceed - prayers with you

Njw, I sobbed through my first 3 meetings and felt so much relief that I had found a wonderful group of people who "understood" and could help me.

It's a big step to go to a first meeting, but once there we wonder why we were hesitant.

I am so glad you went and found live support to add to your recovery tools.

Hugs

You asked in another thread about activities for your son...

If you ever really wanted to know what you could do as a gift to him, this would be it, taking care of and working on you goes farther than anything.

I am glad that found some support.

Take care.

What a great step to take! I agree with incitingsilence completely. My AD may not realize or even notice, but I know I have grown and changed and am a better person in her recovery journey than I was two years ago, before SR & NarAnon. So glad you had a positive and supportive experience.
