Positive news.

After a lot of struggle my AH has finally chosen to get better. He finished 25 days in residential, and a 5 day step down while at home. He also has been going to AA meetings during each of these programs. When he got home the next morning he got a sponsor. He joined a home group too, and has committed to 90 in 90. He has plan how to handle the damage he caused. And he is willing to sign the Divorce and work to win me back. Some one said to me recovery looks like recovery and he is going after it like its his job. The psychiatrist at the day program wants to use him as a case study. He also is helping out a lot at the house. I am guardedly optimistic.:

Chibi, that sounds good. I am happy for you both.

It must make you thankful that you are one of those who gets to see what recovery looks like!

It sounds like each of you are on a healthy path.

And yes, recovery looks like recovery and it is uplifting to see it up close and personal.

Hugs

Still wanted to let you know things are going well. He completed his IOP and they gave him one of those rubber band bracelets for graduation. He brought it home to show me and gave it to me to wear. Still working his 90 meeting in 90 days and has a job interview on Monday. I notice he's more solid than me. I have been so crabby because I am so tired from work, daycare drop offs and pick ups. He noticed I am frazzled when I get home, and helps unload the kids. He entertains them for 15 mins so I can get a break to clear my head. I hope this sticks!

I am happy to read your husband is still embracing his recovery and has started to help out with the kids more.
