need help - Mesa, AZ

Hi,

My son in Mesa, AZ. He is 20 yrs old and addicted to heroin. We don't have insurance or the money to pay for any help. Does anyone have any suggestions how he can get help. Are there any detox or rehab programs he can enter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks You

Hi RFK,

Sorry to hear about your son.

I am new here as well. You should look at the links on this site for help suggestions.

There are some non-for-profits that may be able to steer you in the right direction. Not sure if you are religious, but you can go to your local church and they may be able to help as well.

We wish you well. Stay strong.

I believe the Salvation Army programs are free. I don't have a lot of info about it, but it would be a good place to start.

I am so sorry for you and your family.

community bridges will detox for free. They have a location in Mesa. Salvation Army is good. Teen Challenge, Church on the street. Also, Terros offers free outpatient programs

Lily1918, I really like the quote by "unknown" in your signature space. It helps!

The Salvation Army programs are very good and are free.

I too am the mother of an addict and hope you find lots of support and comfort here. Take a read around, especially the sticky threads at the top of this forum, lots of good information there.

I will keep you and your son in my prayers.

Hugs

Have you gone online for some of these places in your area, which treat addiction?
Thank goodness for computers, I say.

I have heard much good about the Salvation Army programs as well. Your local mental health board may have some ideas for you, too.

best wishes,
chicory

My husband went to Chandler Valley Hope. I think they are non-profit, and will set up payment plans. Pretty sure they will at least help him detox. They have a good family program too. Really nice place.
