All I am going to post what my exah texted me tonight...we were just having a conversation (texting) about a problem our oldest is having with a truck he bought...we live 1000s of miles apart...Clean for 3 years?

This is what he texted me

"I DIDNT RIP THIS FAMILY APART, YOU DECIDED TO DO THAT BECAUSE I WAS SMOKING CRACK

Did you laugh really hard when you read that? Quack Quack!

Should that one not be a comic strip ! How does someone with apparently 3 years clean think like that? My reply to that was "you are making up excuses to go smoke up"! OMG it triggered me into this maddness I havent felt in years!

It just shocked me that he still feels like that (blame) after being clean for this period of time, we were are on good terms for the past couple years, left the past in the past.

Once we're away from it for a while it just sounds so preposterous to hear words like that. Back in the day, we might have believed it. Thank God we don't anymore. It doesn't even make a lick of sense today.

You've come a long way baby, Rose, haven't we all. And I'm grateful to have had you walking beside me for years and years now. My goodness, the sights we have seen along the way, and now we can laugh over what once made us cry. Gotta love recovery.

Oh I can't say enough of the Heart full of Thanks I have for having you walk with me through the most devastating time in my life. Your words and encouragement kept me going from where all I could see was a black hole into a glimpse of light that opened up.
