OT - Update on my mama
I posted a prayer request for my 94 year old mama who fell and fractured her hip. She was diagnosed with congestional heart failure and chronic kidney disease.
My mama passed away Oct 11th at about 1:15 pm. I am heart broken, though I know she is no longer in pain, but rather is in paradise with all those friends and family members that went before her.
She will be layed to rest Oct 16th on the day that my husband Scotty died.
I am grateful for the little time I had to prepare for the fact that she was not going to recover from her illnesses. She was a wonderful woman who never drank, smoked or did any kind of drugs. She is one of the reasons I am clean and sober to this day. I have always said I arrived at rock bottom by a prayer to an awesome God and on the wings of an angel I call mother.
I will miss her deeply for there is none like her.
Jesus is the King and my mama is the queen.

((Nyte)) - I'm so very sorry, but I love your attitude. When my mom died, I knew it was past time for her to suffer, she had lots of people to greet her, but it still hurt really bad.

I am so sorry for the sadness you feel right now. My mama was a very special woman too and I know how sad I was even though she was old and sick and it was her time. I don't think we are ever ready to say goodbye to our mamas.
The thing is, my mother is with me every day. I hear her speak to me when I need to draw on her wisdom, I smile when I see things that made her smile and I understand her better today than I ever did. I know today how very lucky I was to be able to call this very special wise and lovely woman my mother.
Your mother leaves you with a legacy of love, Passion, and of wonderful memories that will live in your heart forever. Trust me, your mama watches over you and you will feel her presence every time you need her.
