Husband completed week 2
 

My husband completed his 2nd week of outpatient and doctor appointments. The week was good, except I was so busy with work, classes after work, homework, and my own addiction doc appointment. we have been getting along good this week. Last night he and some guys from work, the couple he used drugs with went out after work for a drink. A drink. He came home and told me. I know its not a good idea to 1. be with the guys who use drugs, and 2. drink any alcohol three weeks into sobriety. I cannot micromanage him. He seemed fine, not drunk, not high. Im going to keep the wait and see attitude. He says he doesnt know how to detach from the friendship with these guys because they work together and he needs to keep it friendly.
Besides this the week was good, and I think he is doing good. I will give him time, its progress not perfection. That saying I do agree with

I hope it keeps getting better for both of you and you are wise not to try to control his recovery, it would only wear you down and not change the outcome
