I finally called to make an appt.
I finally made the call to schedule counseling today.
I have so many issues aside from being a wife of an Addict.
Yet, I get up and work 50+ hours a week for the last 5 years with only 2 vacations. I pride myself on being reliable and together.
I don't really have a social life outside of my extended life. I tend to feel out of place in a group setting.
I really hope that this will be the beginning of figuring out MY cycles and MY problems.
I just hope i'm not given too much guilt for asking for someone to watch my son so me and my daughter can go to counseling.
Thanks for listening.

Good for you !!
I know it was probably hard to make that call. I had a very good experience with therapy, I was uncomfortable the first few sessions and will admit that. But once I made a connection with the therapist then it became my safe place. She helped me figure out so many things..... I will forever be grateful for her help. (I made it sound like its all past tense; I still talk with her).
I hope you have a similar positive experience.
