My husband left for treatment on Friday. I miss him. He was allowed to call me today and I almost cried. That emotion confused me bc I was elated tht he finally decided to get treatment. Is this normal?

Sure it is, but right now he needs to focus on his recovery and that is why most rehabs limit calls at the beginning. He can't take care of his recovery and worry about you at the same time.

This might be a good time for you to find your own meetings and work on regaining your balance and learning a healthy way to take care of yourself...with him or without him.

It doesn't have to be a sad time, it can be a time of recovery and growth for both of you. The choice is yours. Good luck.

I attend al anon and I dnt won't him to leave treatment or anything. I was just surprised at my emotion.

I just miss him didnt think I would. I think maybe it was the week we had together before he left. For treatment that reminded me of how our relationship was before he relapsed.
