keeping an open mind
I went to two different open AA meetings today. Going to these meetings is giving me the opportunity to see first hand the other side of addiction. They welcome me and encourage me to come back. I been to four all together. The 2 I attended today had two really good topics. Keeping an open mind and how to deal with obstacles that might mess up their soberity.
I cant explain how much difference it makes to listen.

That is great I think. Thank you for sharing.
My husband didn't use NA /AA. We both used therapy, but when he was in rehab they had group sessions for patients and family, which was very helpful to all of us - getting different perspectives from both sides. And part of my husbands rehab included marriage counseling where we were encouraged to understand both sides and all the emotions behind things. Personally I really think it helps with overall recovery. It was also good for our marriage and helped us heal from the past.
