Guys... To say Commencement was emotional is an understatement. There's a footbridge that connects the east side of the campus to the west, and we lined up on the east side. As a Masters candidate, I was one of the first ones to cross the bridge, and when I saw how many people had come for Commencement, it was pretty mind-blowing. There was a brief moment prior to me getting my diploma when I was looking around the campus, the people, the historic buildings and newer buildings, and my AXGF popped into my head. And I smiled... ...and said to myself, F**K HER. For I bounced back -- all the way back -- to where I should be professionally and academically after she was out of my life. I guess the message I'm trying to convey is even in the darkest of hours, don't give up hope and don't allow a sick person to bring you down. Getting rid of a sick person is addition by subtraction. And living well is the best revenge. Always, ZoSo |
