The only thing I know for sure right now is I'm taking a minimum of two years off from academic life because I'm burned out from it. Right now, I just want to enjoy the accomplishment, and I am.
During the next two years, I want to get a motorcycle and travel, and (maybe) get into photography. My band's ramping up again. And I want to golf.
In two years time, I may consider a Ph.D, or maybe a MBA. Trying not to think too much about that right now.

Actually, a song that really, really resonated with me during difficult times was a song by Rush called "Bravado". The first verse is:
If we burn our wings
Flying too close to the sun
If the moment of glory
Is over before it's begun
If the dream is won --
Though everything is lost
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost
Flying too close to the sun
If the moment of glory
Is over before it's begun
If the dream is won --
Though everything is lost
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost
The message is basically go for it, and if you fall, get back up. Just go for it.
