Good reminder for me too, Lily, I came close to making a couple of bad decisions yesterday based entirely on that.

Thankfully I could recall my program and not act in haste, and when I had time to think about it I realized that obligation and guilt were guiding me...right down a bad path had I chosen it.

Yup, I needed to read this today as a reminder to remain vigilant.

Always good to look at our motives for doing things. It's amazing how often I can stop myself now from doing something really stupid by exploring MY motives. Although they don't fit into the FOG acronym....there is also retaliation and manipulation that show up on my list of inappropriate motives. If I am doing (fill in the blank) in hopes that it will cause someone else to do (fill in the blank).....MY motives are messed up.

Hmmmmm....look at that.....a new acronym RAM (retaliation and manipulation) is born. It usually means I am trying to RAM my will down someone else's throat (or someone is doing it to me:-).
