OT: Need Encouragement
I have 15 days of graduate school left until I'm done, and I mean done.
During these next 15 days, I have a take home exam in signals due tomorrow, a quiz in that same class tomorrow, a project due in that same class, and two electromagnetics exams. Needless to say, my brain is cooked. It is swimming in a hellish sea of partial differential equations, triple integrals, linear algebra, and MATLAB code.
Someone kick me in the butt and tell me to keep going, please.

Keep going!
Well done, Zoso, you have made it this far so just relax and enjoy the ride. Your mind knows the answers, so let it be rested and peaceful and free.
Get some sleep, that always helps.
Or face the wrath of the bunny slippers.

Okay, well, I have NO IDEA what ANY of that stuff is, lol, but I so admire that YOU do!! You are SO CLOSE, zoso - just two weeks left!!! You've come this far - you are definitely going to keep going until you finish and you're going to kick butt (even if WE have to kick YOUR butt) while doing so!! KEEP GOING, ZOSO!!!
Dude...quitting now is NOT an option. Break things down in manageable pieces, and they say napping in between different areas of study helps to remember things. Buckle down, and get through it. Though I don't have a masters...I remember quite well the pressure of finals and am glad it's you and not me. LOL

I was so burnt out in the final weeks of graduate school, Zoso, that I vowed I was finished with academia. Humming "Our House" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, I married the first guy who showed up shortly after my oral exams and, boy, was I ever sorry!
We had the hippie house and two cats in the yard, but, alas, life was hard. Don't do what I did! Don't be a crazy pinball like me!
I so well remember the cooked brain cells.
Zoso, it takes discipline to get as far as you've gotten. All those friends of mine who stayed stoned through college, well, I bet a lot of them wish they could go back and do it right.
Like the guitarist on your Avatar (I am too square to know who that is, is it Steve Vai?), no one will ever know the hours you've sacrificed to be really good at what you do.
Congratulations on this final push to the summit. Drink a lot of water and eat bananas.

To answer your question, it's Jimmy Page. Val's the more accomplished player, but Jimmy's got the dragon suit.

Someone once told me that when I'm facing a really tough exam or tough situation to keep telling myself "it's a piece of cake".....I guess it was suppose to keep me from getting all psyched out about it.
So here goes.......one day at a time....you can do this Zoso.....piece of cake.
gentle hugs

Zoso,
She's not kidding. The bunny slippers are steel toed (Don't ask!).
And she knows about kinetic energy---so don't let the small slippers
fool you. What they lack in mass they MORE than make up for in
velocity (squared!).
Trust me---forward is the easier direction.
Noone wants to see "Soberrecovery II...the wrath of (kh)Ann" today!
Zoso, you will be fine. I managed to study and pass law school finals while writing several long legal papers with short deadlines all with my drug addict ex in the picture. He made me sobbed, lose sleep, stole from me and pressured me for money during a highly stressful time. With all that happening, I still finished strong and graduated.
You are blessed that you dont have that toxicity in your life anymore and you've accomplished so much more since then. So coming from a person that was once in a similar high stress place, I want you to know that you will be OK. Early Congrats to you on finishing!

....and don't forget .... you've got all of US in your corner and sending you awesome vibes! (What do you call those 'vibes' in technical terms, anyway?)
One. Hour. At. A. Time.
Go Zoso!! You got this!!!!

Oh I so remember 'crunch time'!
I went back to school at 43 to finally get my degree. When I started they told me
it would probably take me 2 1/2 years (5 full semesters and 2 summer semesters)
and I did it in 18 months (3 full semesters and 1 summer semester) and I was
totally 'wiped out' by the end.
However, someone had suggested that I study in 2 hour increments, then step away,
eat some carbs and try and take a 20 minute nap. So I figured, it was worth a shot,
and, of course, when I heard 'carbs' my good alkie brain thought CHEESECAKE! lol
So I made a cheesecake and put it in the fridge.. Study for about 2 hours, ate a slice
of cheesecake, went to my recliner, put my feet up and closed my eyes. Awoke 25
minutes later and felt VERY REFRESHED. Went back and studied. rinse and repeat.
It really did work for me, and much better than coffee!
So sending extra prayers. I know you can do this. Your goal is definitely IN SIGHT
NOW!!!!!
Going to throw your words back at you ....................... breathe slow. take a
breath in, hold for a slow count of 10, exhale. repeat 10 times. This will help slow
the mad racing of your mind and allow what you are studying to 'sink in.'
We are walking with you (((((zoso))))).
Love and hugs,

Sending PINKful study thoughts your way and although it might not be very scientific I have proven results that PINKful thoughts are very very powerful at helping many people through many challenges
hmm - they do not have the same power as the steel-toed bunny slippers but still the power is there ~
I know you will do PINKfantabulous!
PINK hugs

Jimmy Page
Eddie Van Halen
Frank Hannon (from Tesla)
Randy Rhoads
Jeff Beck
Joe Satriani
Jimi Hendrix
Tommy Emmanuel
Alex Lifeson (from Rush)
Steve Clark (from Def Leppard)
If pressed, my top three are Page, Van Halen, and Hannon. Page changed my life.
And Hannon is the most underrated guy out there, I think. To me, he's a modernized, technically more accomplished version of Page. He can play slide, plays in alternate tunings, plays talk box, acoustic guitar, and has chops to burn.
